As part of an ongoing collaboration with Socrates Sculpture Park, SkowheganPERFORMS 2023 returns for a day of site-specific performance art by Skowhegan’s former participants. SkowheganPERFORMS is built around flexible and expansive concepts and this year we place special emphasis on changes in the environment and in history through the theme of “transformation.”

About this series:
SkowheganPERFORMS is a project between Skowhegan and Socrates Sculpture Park in New York that gives artists the possibility of experimenting in the landscape and creating a convivial experience. Some of the performances last the entire duration of the event and span the entire park, some last for only a moment in a secluded area.
