2025 Barbara Lee Lecture Series

To offer our friends and neighbors a glimpse into the conversations that shape life at the School, we open our campus to the public each summer for the annual Barbara Lee Lecture Series, featuring lectures by faculty artists and guests.

Spanning a wide range of artistic practices, cultural perspectives, and theoretical frameworks, these talks are a core part of Skowhegan summers and central to the School’s pedagogy. Since 1952, faculty lectures have been recorded and preserved in the Skowhegan Lecture Archive, forming an enduring record of artistic thought and exchange.

This year, Resident and Visiting Faculty Artist lectures will take place at 7:30 PM in the Fresco Barn. All lectures are free and open to the public.
