Abstract

Painter Martha Diamond shows a chronological spectrum of her work, identifying many the name, size, medium, and subject of the peices and the particular aspect of oil painting she was investigating that she had not learned in art school. Later in the lecture she talks about the different surfaces she has experimented with painting on. In addition to the paintings there are slides of pencil and watercolor sketches and numerous prints. During the Question and Answer section she touches on some of her personal philosophy about painting.
