Martha Diamond

In December 2025, we hosted a conversation at Skowhegan NYC between artists Ann Craven and Nicole Wittenberg, moderated by Robert Storr about Martha Diamond’s artistic legacy, on the occasion of Martha Diamond, Deep Time, a publication organized by the Colby College Museum of Art and the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum.

In the monograph, Martha’s life and work are interwoven, illustrating the many ways she understood the world in which she lived. Images and storytelling come together in a reader with essays by poets, artists, and researchers who approach Martha’s cosmology from different perspectives and poetics, much like Ann, Nicole, and Robert’s voices during the event.
