2026 Barbara Lee Lecture Series

Each summer, the School season returns with our intensive nine-week program. To offer our friends and neighbors a glimpse into the conversations that shape life at the School, we open our campus to the public for our annual Barbara Lee Lecture Series, featuring lectures by faculty artists.

These talks are a core part of Skowhegan summers and central to the School’s pedagogy. They offer a window into the thoughts, ideas, and lived experiences of the artists and researchers who join us during the summer program. Since 1952, faculty lectures have been recorded and preserved in the Skowhegan Lecture Archive, forming an enduring record of artistic thought and exchange.

Resident and Visiting Faculty Artist lectures take place in the Fresco Barn at 7:30 PM, unless noted otherwise. All lectures are free and open to the public.
