William T. Williams, Resident Artist Lecture 1978

African-American Color Field painter William T. Williams shows slides and talks about his working methods and the development of his work from the late 1960s to 1977. During the question and answer period he addresses issues of boredom, selection of titles, the relationship of icons, geometry, imagery and symbols in his painting, his interest in nurturing art as a life-long career, ending with autobiographical information about his art education.
