William E. Jones, Resident Artist Lecture 2017

William E Jones begins this lecture by playing the music of Maria Callas, Greek American Opera Singer. The lecture is then broken into two parts. The first part of the lecture is a screening of Jones’ film, Fall into Ruin which tells the story of Jones’ relationship with Alexander Iolas, a Greek art dealer. The second part of the lecture is an open conversation between the participants and Jones. Some of the topics that get discussed include preservation vs ruins, oral history, and seeing different types of linear time when looking through archives.
