Tania Bruguera, Resident Artist Lecture 2002

Accompanied by slides (which she calls a “cemetery of images”) and video of her work, Cuban performance artist Tania Bruguera talks about the family history that led her to become an artist, her philosophy and changing vision, which at one time was a source of concern, and choices in dealing with censorship and privilege in relation to her art which addresses issues of history, politics, the body, and culture.
