Sue Coe, Visiting Artist Lecture 1991

Artist Sue Coe shows examples of her work which illustrate her political involvement with social, political and humane issues including AIDS, the bombing by the U.S. of Grenada and Iraq, the covert occupation of Panama and the use of Stealth bombers on a civilian population, the support of Noriega, the role of trans-national corporations on many fronts, the twin dangers of patriarchy and capitalism, Supreme Court nominations, the inhumane treatment of animals and labor in slaughterhouses around the world, and more. Comic books and graffiti, according to this artist, are the only forms of live art currently in existence
