Rudolf Baranik, Guest Lecture 1992

Lithuanian-born artist Rudolph Baranik prefaces a slide presentation with autobiographical information and comments on sexism in the art world. In showing his work, most of which are not identified by name, he discusses his working methods, tools, materials, and sources for his imagery, much of it concerned with political issues. The talk includes numerous anecdotes about his own life in art and about political activism in which he and other artists participated, augmented by the speaker’s views on the education of artists.
