Roni Horn, Visiting Artist Lecture 2014
Abstract
Roni Horn has an intimate discussion with the Skowhegan class of 2014 regarding their work and art. Showing slides and answering questions from participants, Horn talks about how their art practice been informed by ideas concerning the objective nature of their work, rather then motivation. They also talk about their long lasting relationship to Iceland, and how returning to drawing as a primary practice has informed their practice. Horn also talks about the meditative nature of their work due to their desire o always focus on experience rather then the final product, which has also informed her slow nature of having other people access their work as well.
