Rochelle Feinstein, Resident Artist Lecture 2012

Speaking before an audience at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, artist Rochelle Feinstein presents an overview of her work, beginning with early stand-alone grid paintings and moving through a variety of media to her later clustered works, including I Made a Mistake and The Estate of Rochelle Feinstein. She discusses the reasons behind the content in her oeuvre and some personal circumstances in which the art was made, stressing her interest in commenting on social rather than political life through her work, and comparing her approach to that of other painters who shared a similar interest.
