Richard Stankiewicz, Resident Artist Lecture 1977

Speaking without the aid of slides or notes, sculptor Richard Stankiewicz speaks to an audience at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture about what it means to be an artist. He talks about having an inner compulsion to make art, an ability to communicate expressively, the ability to select and use the most effective materials for what is being expressed, and an understanding of form.
