Abstract
Painter Richard Haas talks about his fascination with cities and painted architecture from different historic periods and genres. He also discusses his own work from 1964 on, and shows a short movie made from 2,000 still photos of the creation of a project in Chicago. The author discusses the materials he uses, how a project is solicited and eventually produced with the help of assistants, and the challenges encountered in doing this kind of work.
