Per Kirkeby, Resident Artist Lecture 1991
1 of 3
Abstract
Danish artist Per Kirkeby presents his opinions on the cultural differences which distinguish American from European art and his thoughts on how a piece of art comes into being. Because Kirkeby uses a chalkboard extensively to illustrate the points he makes, the audio quality suffers slightly. The major portion of the end of the lecture is devoted to a ten-year brickwork project which the artist undertook at a high school in Denmark.
