Paul Ramirez Jonas, Resident Artist Lecture 2000

Conceptual artist Paul Ramirez-Jonas shows examples of his work, revealing a sense of humor about and affection for history, particularly American history and the history of invention, and a fascination with time, mortality, futility, memory, chance and probability. Later works carry these interests to an international scale and incorporate music and new technologies with the artist’s reinventions of technologies of the past.
