Mierle Laderman Ukeles, Visiting Artist Lecture 2000

Artist Mierle Laderman Ukeles presents an illustrated, intense, and sometimes humorous lecture about many of her public art projects, done around the world, which blur the boundaries between art, work, the environment and sociology and elevate unseen service providers, such as maintenance and garbage crews, and ruined landscapes, such as landfills, through a transformative process which turns the former into artists and the latter into art.
