María Elena González, Resident Artist Lecture 2005

Interdisciplinary artist María Elena González gives a lecture talking about her practice which explores ideas of dismantling intellectual distances. González is interested in breaking the distance between the viewer and the art work, and how sculpture and participatory art allows her to create devices where viewers can physically engage with her work. González seems to take these physical environments and create spaces of communication for people rooted in ideas of honesty, where conversations around public art and participatory art can also be generated.
