Lynda Benglis, Visiting Artist Lecture 1978

Lynda Benglis talks about her early education as an artist, followed by a slide presentation of transitional and mature works in which she focuses on techniques and materials she has used, commenting on material-related problems where applicable. The lecture contains numerous personal anecdotes. In answer to questions from the audience, she also talks about ritual in the making of her work and about supporting oneself and one’s art financially.
