Lisa Sigal, Resident Artist Lecture 2006

Artist Lisa Sigal talks about the many ways Skowhegan has impacted her life. She also shows examples of her paintings, projects, and installations from 2000 to the present, touching on issues of illusion and material; her interest in engaging the viewer; the role of photography in her work; how her paintings relate to landscape and architecture; the influence of artist Gordon Matta Clark and political activist Concepcion Picciotto; and ephemerality.
