Judith Shea, Resident Artist Lecture 1986

Judith Shea gives a lecture talking about her interdisciplinary practice ranging from sculpture, textiles, and drawing. Shea also talks about working with silk, cotton and delicate fabric to heavy materials such as casting bronze. Working with the form of the object of clothing as a form has allowed Shea to think about the aspects of movement and gesture. Shea is interested in sculpture as an object and how the clothed representation of the figure deals with our experiences as people today
