Isabel Bishop, Resident Artist Lecture 1956

In this early lecture at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, Isabel Bishop shows a variety of slides to illustrate how different artists have worked with the surface they are painting, be it canvas or object, flat or shaped, with varying degrees of success and interest. Unfortunately, although many of the artists are named, the works are not identified.
