Henry Taylor, Resident Artist Lecture 2018

Artist Henry Taylor uses the approach of autobiography and portraiture to guide his lecture at Skowhegan. Throughout the lecture, Taylor plays music, and shows slides of his paintings, drawings and sculptures. Some personal anecdotes that he reflects on to talk about how his practice has been shaped include the influence of family and friends, oral history, the landscape of the United States and his travels to experience different continents and cities.
