Hasan Elahi, Resident Artist Lecture 2009

Artist Hasan Elahi talks about the random and serendipitous way he came to be an artist, and points out how themes in his very earliest work reappeared and were better understood by him in his later political art. A large part of the lecture, as well as many of the questions at the end, is directed towards his interrogation and surveillance by the FBI as a possible terrorist suspect and the subsequent self-surveillance that the speaker undertook to make available on his website.
