Harrell Fletcher, Resident Artist Lecture 2006

Artist Harrell Fletcher gives a comprehensive overview of his individual and collaborative work since graduate school, accompanied by still images and video clips. The questions which follow his talk address issues such as the authorship of projects based on the artistic endeavors of other people; the concept of bringing the audience to the art through their participation in it; his thoughts on how art is made accessible by contemporary art institutions and organizations; working internationally; relational aesthetics and social practices in art; finding balance in his creative work with the public; and the sense of play which is apparent in many of his pieces.
