Fred Wilson, Guest Lecture 2002

Fred Wilson presents a slide lecture on his work in a number of museums and related institutions, where he brings new insights to the meaning and relationships of artifacts he finds, using curatorial methods and labels in non-traditional ways, and thereby expanding the viewer’s ideas of what the objects can tell about how the past is interpreted. The speaker discusses his work on the Venice Biennale and explains the process, both mental and physical, involved in the development of his projects, as well as the reactions of curators and viewers.
