Frank Moore, Visiting Artist Lecture 1998

Painter Frank Moore reflects on his summer as a student at Skowhegan and then goes on to talk about his recent work, focusing on his complex iconography that most often addresses issues of sexuality and society, AIDS, and pollution and environmental degradation. Questions lead him to talk about his interest in individual and environmental health; how he came to develop his painting style; the frames he makes himself for each piece; commissioned paintings which he created for Gianni Versace (the fashion designer), and his working methods.
