Francis Cape, Resident Artist Lecture 2008
Abstract
Artist Francis Cape shares examples of his work, from very early pieces constructed from found cardboard boxes to recent work for the New Orleans biennial, framing the historical and political development of his work as it conflates with the philosophical writings of Hannah Arendt and Herbert Marcuse, and discussing the close relationship between his dual careers as carpenter and artist.
