Elizabeth Murray, Visiting Artist Lecture 1992
Abstract
With slides of her work running concurrently but not directly addressing them in her lecture, artist Elizabeth Murray (who previously spoke at the school in 1979 and 1985) speaks with frank introspection about her decision to become an artist and her subsequent personal journey as student, fledgling artist, moving to New York, being a single parent with a child, achieving public recognition, and moving into the realm of political activism.
