Ed Moses, Resident Artist Lecture 1983
Abstract
Ed Moses shows slides of various unidentified works from the history of art, with commentary on art as a way for man to confront his terror in the face of life, death and nature. This is followed by untitled examples of his own work in which he addresses the impossibility of creating two dimensional art in a three dimensional world, and his interest in the framework, or “bones,” of architecture as a sculptural element which defines space.
