Dr. Paul Farmer, Paul Mellon Distinguished Fellow Lecture 2009

Following a brief slide presentation during which he talks about the efforts of Partners in Health (a group he co-founded) to improve health and secure social justice in impoverished countries, Dr. Paul Farmer shares the podium with author Tracy Kidder and artist Mel Chin. The presentation intersperses good-natured banter among the three friends with serious consideration of questions from the audience which address serious issues such as culture, criticality, failure, history, social injustice, and cynicism in an approach which integrates the various disciplines which they represent.
