Derrick Adams, Visiting Artist Lecture 2013

In this lecture at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, multidisciplinary artist Derrick Adams presents selections from his lifetime oeuvre, including early work that is not able to be viewed online or elsewhere. He shares details of his art practice and his philosophy of art-making, including his views on what it means to him to be a Black artist and an American artist exhibiting overseas.
