Deborah Hay, Paul Mellon Distinguished Fellow Lecture 2012

In this presentation at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, 2012 Paul Mellon Fellow Deborah Hay lectures on “The Performance of Beauty,” focusing on the questions she poses to herself as she choreographs and performs her dances. The lecture is preceded by a brief reconstruction of a performance by four of the School’s participants.
