Dean Moss, Resident Artist Lecture 2017
Abstract
Interdisciplinary artist Dean Moss gives a lecture that shows a series of his videos, collaborative work, and performance pieces. Moss’s work covers a range of ideas that have arisen both from individual and collective thought processes with himself and fellow artists. Moss speaks about the many collaborative works he has done with artists as a way to think through different sets of ideas; whether with Laylah Ali it is the relationship with the black box and the white cube, or exploring ideas of eroticism and exploitation with Yoon Jin Kim. Moss reflects on the relationship that also develops between audience participation and the community of artists that engage with his work through performance.
