Dave McKenzie, Resident Artist Lecture 2011

Artist Dave McKenzie talks about his performance, conceptual, painting and sculptural work before an audience at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, to which he returns as resident faculty after having attended as a participant in 2000. Interspersing reading from prepared text with images and video the artist relives some of his experience at the school. In response to questions from the audience he addresses issues of audience and of race as they apply to particular pieces.
