Carroll Dunham, Visiting Artist Lecture 1996

Artist Carroll Dunham presents a slide lecture in which he offers autobiographical information as well as the situation in the New York art world when he first arrived there in the 1970s, progressing to the 1980s and on into the 1990s. Dunham focuses attention on his thoughts, feelings and experiences when he was starting his career, including his discovery of various materials and the development of ideas, and then introduces more contemporary work. In the Q&A he addresses the importance of drawing and color in the creation of his art.
