Byron Kim, Special Lecture 2006

Byron Kim gives a lecture at Skowhegan talking about his painting and drawing practice. Kim draws on a wide range of influences that inform his work, including literature, art historical movements, and the many artists that he has been inspired by. Kim employs a wide range of materials in his painting and drawing practice, specifically focusing on inkjet prints. Kim explores a wide range of subject matter in his work as well, ranging from his understanding of space, memory, humour, the natural world, and autobiography. Kim ends his lecture by engaging in a lively and intimate conversation with the participants where he answers questions about his work.
