Bill Jensen, Visiting Artist Lecture 1983
Slides
Abstract
Painter Bill Jensen shows slides of his work beginning in the mid-1970s (shortly after he had to give up grinding his own pigments due to health issues), placing particular emphasis on issues he has encountered in the treatment of his smaller works. Jensen also talks about the materials he uses, how he selects titles, his working methods and how his work develops, and the role of listening and observing in his paintings. The recording of this lecture appears to be incomplete.
