Andrea Zittel, Resident Artist Lecture 2006
Abstract
Artist Andrea Zittel talks about concepts and processes in her work, beginning with her early chicken breeding projects, and shows how those evolved into socio-cultural design projects that address living spaces, clothing, furniture, recreational vehicles and circadian rhythms. The later portion of the talk is devoted to her life and work since moving to a desert property. Following the lecture, Zittel answers questions about her views on modernism, the relationship between freedom and control, and the significance of where she has chosen to live.
