Simon Leung, Resident Artist Lecture 2018

Simon Leung centers his talk around creating a politics of difference and ethics, and what that has meant for him in his practice. Throughout the lecture, Leung shows slides of his work engaging with various media including site specificity, video, photography, opera, and his twenty year collaboration with the artist Warren Niesłuchowski. As the lecture unfolds, Leung allows the listener to understand how ethics and difference have intersected with the many projects throughout his oeuvre, also illustrating the various politics he was involved in at different stages in his life as an artist.
