Ursula von Rydingsvard, Resident Artist Lecture 1988

Abstract

Sculptor Ursula von Rydingsvard shows slides of her work, detailing aspects of the site and the materials used, and alluding to her childhood spent in post-war refugee camps with her large family. She also talks about her choice of traditional materials, mostly cedar, as being a more appropriate way to express what she needs to say artistically than newer technologies.
