Harold Tovish, Resident Artist Lecture 1971
Abstract
Sculptor Harold Tovish shows a selection of his work and comments briefly on the materials and the process by which it was made. In the second half of the lecture he addresses the issue of entropy in art, eloquently expressing his profound sorrow about the state of art at the time of the lecture, including what he perceives as a lack of integrity, a lack of morality and a lack of humanity in the work he sees, and ending with a hope that the students in the audience will reverse that trend.
